Just another designer who ekes out a living doing what he loves to do. I'm currently the lead designer at an LA based company which will remain nameless. From time to time I will post some of my work in progress but mainly this blog is a platform for various forms of inspiration, mainly but not limited to, music, art, design, photography, surfing, skating, martial arts, comics, movies, books, etc... you get the idea. I try to update this as often as possible but sometimes its easy to get caught up in the day to day. So I am not always on-point with the posts. Such is Life I guess...

Paul Smith’s run on the X-men was one of the best. Unfortunately it was only 11 issues long. His style was very refreshing from Cockrum’s. They way he drew Wolverine was definitive, for me anyways. John Romita Jr. came in afterwards, I feel he was an excellent follow up. He tried to mimic Smith’s style and helped to usher in what I call the end of the Golden Age of the X-men. This was also the end of the Classic X-men lineup: Cyclops, Storm, Colossus, Night Crawler, Wolverine and Kitty Pryde. I never did like Mark Silvestri or Jim Lee. Their styles were too convoluted for me. Every character had to have a million lines on their faces or fangs.
